How to Download YouTube videos using VLC media Player

As all You Know that VLC Media player is the worlds first media player that support almost all media formats.But Do You know that we can download YouTube and other videos using VLC media player.
Normally You all use other external software's to download the YouTube videos(e.g.-YouTube Down loader).Here you can watch the video along with you can download it in your desktop.

To get started please follow these steps.


  1. Grab the URL of the YouTube video page.
  2. Now click on Media>Open Network stream.
  3. Paste the URL and click the play button.
Now the VLC starts streaming videos.Once the video gets streamed properly,



  1.  click Tools>Codec Information.
  2. At the bottom you can see a location box.
  3. Copy the URL and paste it on your browser’s address bar.
The browser will starts downloading the video on your desktop.


Benefits of Using VLC:

  •  Not need an external software.
  • Ads are not displayed.
